This blend is ideal for species that in the wild consume a significant amount of fruits and seeds from oil-rich plants (African grey parrots, Macaws, Senegal parrot). This parrot food contains a high-fat level with a fatty acid suitable for these species. This pellet parrot food is a maintenance formula, suitable for non-reproductive periods.

Recommended daily intake ranges between 5 and 12 % of your bird's body weight in medium-sized species (like the African grey parrot).

This diet is designed to constitute 100% of the parrot's diet. However, if fresh fruit and vegetables are offered daily to give variety to their diet, we recommend that Psittacus should constitute no less then 70-80% of the overall diet by weight. No vitamin or mineral supplements should be given to parrots whose staple food is Psittacus Parrot Maintenance.
