This product is a versatile, pellet, parrot food formula designed for parrot species that in the wild consume a significant amount of fruits and seeds with a low or moderate fat level (Amazon parrots, Blue-headed Parrot, Cockatoos, Ring-necked parakeets, White Cockatoos). This formula contains the precise protein level and the specific fatty acid profile which match the nutrient profile of wild foods for these species. It is a maintenance formula, suitable for non-reproductive periods.

Recommended daily intake ranges between 5 and 15 % of your bird's body weight.

It is designed to constitute 100% of the parrot's diet. However, if fresh fruit and vegetables are offered daily to give variety to their diet, we recommend that Psittacus should constitute no less then 70-80% of the overall diet by weight. No vitamin or mineral supplements should be given to parrots whose staple food is Psittacus Parrot Maintenance.
